New International Airport of Luanda is the future international airport of the Angolan capital, Luanda. Located in the southeast of the city center, in Viana municipality, about 40 km away.
The infrastructure will constitute one of the biggest airports in Africa, with a capacity of 15 million passengers/ year, a cargo capacity of 50 thousand tons/year and occupying an area of 1.324 ha. With two double runways, it is designed to receive the B747 and A380 – currently the biggest commercial airplanes. Comprises also the erection of a new airport city with a construction area of 75km2.
Design revision. Audit of executed works, including pavement monitoring, survey and laboratory tests. Construction supervision and management, including quality control and geometric control.
